If using the car to go shopping, try to make only one big trip – cutting down on gas consumption and time.

Take public transportation to go Christmas shopping.

Implement a telecommuting protocol to cut down car emissions.

Practice “trip chaining” by combining all of your errands into one planned route that will save you time and money.

Celebrate the holiday at home (don’t fly) or consider buying carbon credits to offset your trip.

If you can, take a bus or train to your destination. You’ll be doing the right thing, and more than likely be on time, too.
